Young people

I am passionate about my work with young people.

Navigating adolescence is hard enough and offering them a safe and non-judgemental space to work through their mental health issues in a non judgmental space.

As an art therapist, I provide a safe and supportive space where creativity becomes a tool for self-discovery, emotional expression, and healing.

I work with ages ten years upwards and can offer bespoke approaches depending on the issues being faced.

Growth strategies

CBT is often a preferred method. Therapeutical art or walking, online or face to face. I will work with the needs of a young person.

We will work together using the right balance of the below therapies for you and your needs.

  • Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) is a form of psychological treatment that has been demonstrated to be effective for a range of problems including depression, anxiety disorders, alcohol and drug use problems, marital problems, eating disorders, and severe mental illness. Numerous research studies suggest that CBT leads to significant improvement in functioning and quality of life. In many studies, CBT has been demonstrated to be as effective as, or more effective than, other forms of psychological therapy or psychiatric medications.

  • Art therapy goes beyond simple arts and crafts and coloring books, and you don’t need to be good at art to take part in this mental health care method. Also, it’s not just for kids or the elderly. Everyone can benefit from art therapy

  • Walking therapy is simply you and your therapist walking and talking, rather than meeting in a counselling room or online. It is not exercise, but many people experience physical as well as psychological benefits from engaging in traditional talking therapies whilst walking in green surroundings.

“My son always looks forward to his sessions and he is much easier to talk to at home afterwards. He has ADHD and they come up with lots of coping strategies that have really helped him.”
